My icky wound...

So, I must share with you all my pain I am suffering! I am sure my dear sweet loving husband will read this and shake his head at his crazy wife but oh well.... he married me! :) The story begins about ten days ago, I noticed that I have this crazy little "bite" I will call it, right above my ankle. It began to itch and I thought what a dumb and crazy time to get a mesquito bite, they should all be dead... But low and behold I have some form of a bite. Now to update you a little on my life a good friend and I have been leading a small group at our church about being the Proverbs 31 wife. (I will definately blog more on this Bible study later) In this Bible study the Lord has opened my eyes and has challenged me to the inth degree. One of the areas I have felt a strong conviction in is my health.... I need to become a healther wife and mother, feeding my family healthy, nutritious food AND I need to display a desire to exercise and become active. I have prayed and prayed for a friend to help me thru this and low and behold the Lord does provide time and time again. A good friend leads Jazzercise and she has asked me to go and so about two weeks ago, I drug my unhappy (trying to be happy) butt out of bed at 5:30 to go and exercise. I did and enjoyed every minute of it (not always but I am trusting that if I am faithful to what the Lord asks me to do, He will be faithful to me and continue to give me a push) and I am now a member of Jazzercise. With this change in my life it has challenged my family and each night we have parked my car at work, came home in the husbands car, ate dinner, slipped on our shoes and walked to work to get my car. This may seem crazy to some of you, but it works and it is a start and one that I am excited about..... UNTIL....... back to the "bite" the devil stabbed me with.... Wouldnt you know about one and a half weeks into this new exerciese program, this stupid, dumb, frustrating, ridiculous and irritating "bite" grew.... and grew... and grew... I have been to the doctor FOUR times in less than FIVE days.... I have been told to "keep it up"..... Wednesday the doctor just gave me some meds and said no exercise, keep off it and it will be better by Monday. I found myself back in the doctors office Friday with this HUGE sore on my leg, not just sore but entirely painful (I coudl barely walk). Very much against my desire, my husband squeezed my hand, the nurse held my leg down and the doctor took a stab at it...... I SCREAMEEEEEED! He proceeded to drain it, clean it and pack it!!! Dont EVER EVER EVER have this done..... I would rather birth five babies consecutively than ever do that again! I went home and took drugs, lots of drugs and went to bed. By Saturday night my leg was HUGE, even bigger and even redder. We almost went to the ER but spoke with a doctor friend and he suggusted keeping off it still, prop it up all night and with no fever stay home and wait until first thing Sunday morning. So..... today is Sunday and I made yet another trip to the doctor..... I begged with God last night to just touch and heal my leg because I could NOT bare another stab Sunday morning. My God answers prayers!!! This morning the doctor pulled out the packing (OUCH) and said stay off it, let it drain and see the doctor Monday afternoon. The devil has tried to steal my plan of becoming a healthy wife and mother, but he will NOT! I will heal and I will return to my exercise program just as soon as I can! The Lord is FAITHFUL! I do have a staph infection and we are still unsure if it ever was a bite....

London.... our fist stop on the honeymoon

What does a person say about London? I think that either you like or you don't. I would have to say that out of all the places I have traveled to London has been my least favorite. It is a beautiful city and there is so much old history to see. While in London we did the typical touristy things. A few of my favorites.... We got to go in the worlds largest ferris wheel, the London Eye. Oh my goodness, that was scary, amazing and breathtaking. We went a little later so the sun was setting and the view of London.... what words could ever describe! By the way, I cannot tell you how high in the sky we were! WOW, a must do in London. We went to the top of St. Pauls Cathedral. The climb was a big one and it was a narrow passage but we made it and it was worth every bit of it. I sat in my first ever Catholic service while in St. Pauls and we got to partake in communion. What a cool experience, I loved it. By the time we arrived at the Westminster Abby they were closing for tourists.... But when you have a will, you have a way... We decided to go to the service. That was so incredible!!! We got to sit in these big giant chairs at the front of the church. The prime minister of Australia was there... wow and he spoke and sat right across the isle from us. I have to be honest, the jet leg was killing me and it was all I could do to not fall asleep! I made it with a few shoves from my husband. One of our favorite lines from London was "mind the gap".... That became so annoying! Every subway, bus stop, and train, a voice said "please mmmmmiiiiiinnnnndddd the gappppp"! It is such a big deal that at all the gift shops they sell "mind the gap" hats, magnets, playing cards, post cards, even boxers!! While in London we had front row seats to "Stomp", a MUST SEE show in London. We also had great seats to "Phantom of the Opera". I am sorry to those who love Phantom (honey) but I just didn't care for it! Sorry, but it was fun anyways, my new hubby loved it and that is all that mattered! Our my favorite nights was when we went for dinner at a cafe in Soho District, where all the famous people go. That was so cool.

This is me in the Soho District, don't I look so European?

This is Amador and I in Trafalgar Squre. This night was one of my favorites. Our first hotel was in the suburb of London and than we got smart and got a new hotel right in downtown London. Our hotel veranda looked out to this square. On our last night there we spent most of the evening hanging out in the square. There were fountains, steps, buildings and statues with lots of people around. We love to do people watching so we spent the evening just watching, talking and laughing. I would have to say it is one of my favorite memories with my new husbad.... I LOVED it!

This is us at yet another cute little cafe. Did I tell you that I really liked the cafes. I just really think that there is something romantically cozy about being at a cafe with my husband. They have such a warm, soft, calming atmosphere. The food in London was not our favorite (now the food in Italy is a whole other story). This was Amadors first time to venture to another country so there was A LOT of adjusting to do! The first day or two was tough but than you just learn to laugh it off. Traveling to another country is really an amazing experience. We are spoiled Americans that think we deserve to have it our way! By the way, they just don't care about what you need! I think that next time we travel to London, I would choose to stay in a small village outside the city and than travel into the city for some site seeing. I think I would have enjoyed a cozy cottage atmosphere a little better.

My husband loved the bobbies. This picture was taken outside of the Buckingham Palace. I was kind of surprised of the Palace. I think the gates were more exquisite than the building itself. Nothing too special about the palace. Amador was so excited to have a picture taken with the bobbies. They were very friendly. I especially like the little hats that they had plopped on top of their heads. We were not lucky enough to see the queen while we were there. We did see them do a change of guards outside the palace. That was pretty cool to watch. I am sure these bobbies get so sick of Americans wanting to have their pictures taken with them, they were good sports!

These guys wear funny hats! This man scared the ever loving tar out of me. These men stand guard (what he was standing guard over I will never know) and you can just walk up to them and pose to take a picture. Ok, well, they arent posing but all the stupid tourists are posing. First I took a picture of Amador and than it was my turn to strike a pose. I walk up next to him and just as I stand there the door behind us opens a little and the man next to me yells out extremely loud (what he yelled I do not know) but I tell you what it scared me to death. Notice the dumb look on my face, I thought he was yelling at me. They are not allowed to talk to people or make eye contact, they just look straight ahead. You are not suppose to touch them just stand next to them. I did not take anymore pictures next to these guys. Look at his sword.... don't mess with him!

This was Big Ben at night. Isn't that a gorgeous picture. This is one of my favorite pictures. It is so beautiful. We took this picture while we were on the London Eye. Big Ben was so entirely magnificent from this view, the sun was setting, it was breathe taking. We expected a lot of rain and maybe even snow while were in London. God blessed us with such nice weather. It was a little chilly in London but we had our winter coats and it was just right with our coats. I think it may have drizzled a little bit one night but no down pour and no snow. For the most part it was just a small chill. I bought a scarf and it seemed to be just right. My husband made fun of my scarf the whole time and said "You look so European". Americans do wear scarves my dear man.

This is my husband in the small tunnel I had mentioned in our climb to the top of St. Pauls Cathedral. My goodness this was a tight squeeze. I think that a few times I nearly had a heart attack it was so tight. The tight squeeze and long hike up were worth every ounce of what the view from up above was. It was so surreal. The churches in Europe are so breathtaking and stunning. You can sit for hours and be taken away by the beauty of these buildings!

This is St. Pauls Cathedral. My goodness this building was magnificient. I thought this was one of the most amazing churches that we saw. We walked thru the entire church and even went down into the basement where many saints have been laid to rest. It was incredible. I cant imagine attending church in the breathtaking church every Sunday. We just don't have churches in America like these ones. So much detail and art work! Words just cant describe...

This is my husband and I posing outside the WestminsterAbbey. By the way, we became extremely talented at taking our own pictures. This was amazing... On the outside of the building they had statues of the ten greatest Christian martyers of all time. My husband was very impressed that Martin Luther King Jr. had been added to the statues. Pretty cool. We didnt really get to tour the church since we squeezed in on a service and the church was "closed" to tourists. Wow, this church in incredibly HUGE! I just cant even imagine attending church everyday in a service like this church! We just dont have churches in America like this!

My husband is thinking.... "WHY is my wife taking another picture of me.... in a taxi of all places... the taxi man is waiting for you honey...." The taxi cars in London were so cute. I don't know why in the world I didnt get a picture of one. They are just like the cars that people drove in during the 50's in London. They are so cool. Overall, London was a beautiful city to travel to. I am not too sure that I would stay in London again but I am very happy that it was part of our honeymoon. We had a great time. Off to Rome we go. Watch for the update!

Isn't he amazing?

This is my husband.... Isn't he a hotty?
(standing in the collisseum in Rome - our romantic honeymoon)
I love this man so much, I cannot even begin to describe how much. It's the little things that he does for me that make me so happy... So, I must brag about him tonight. Today started off a little frustrating. My husband left for school early this morning and I crawled out of bed to take Hannah and her friend to school. Out the door we went, down the hill to pick up Kassie and as I came up the hill, what do you know.... I am on EMPTY, VERY EMPTY. So, I dig in my purse to find NO cash, and NO debit/credit cards!! Luckily Hannah's school is not too far, so I pray all the way there that we will make it and I will make it home. (Mind you, I have my pj's on, my hair is a mess and I have NO bra on - ridiculous). I get home and in between classes my wonderful husband comes home and gives me a ride to work since we have no time to go fill the car up. So, after a day of work, we head to Soap Lake for Hannahs basketball game, after she goes out to eat with the team and we go on a quick date to Baskin and Robins and Walmart - what else do you do in Moses Lake, we pick up Hannah and take her out for ice cream. We than head home after a long day. As we drive up to the house I realize I still have NO gas for the morning. My most amazing and spectacular husband drops us off at home, takes my little car and goes to town to fill it up. What a blessing he is, I LOVE being married to him. It's the little things like that, that just fill me up with love and joy. What an amazing, caring and loving man he is. I am so blessed, I am so loved, I am so treasured. I thank God each and everyday for blessing me with him! I love you my sexy man!

Attempting to be a blogger...

So, I've been thinking about becoming a blogger. I am so SLOW at learning new computer stuff but each day I will take a little stab at it and see where it leads. My biggest reason for blogging is mostly to use as a daily journal. Just some mom/wife time to laugh, cry, explode or just share! We'll see how I can keep up with it. My first goal is to add some photos from our wedding which took place just about 9 months ago!! Yippee I'm still a newlywed and loving every single minute of it. For our engagement shoot we went up to Leavenworth with our photographer for the day. We found this amazing house that was for sale.... No one was home so we made ourselves "at home" and started to take some shots. Most of my favorite pictures were taken here. Thanks to those kind people who shared their yard, though they do not know it! Well, it's time to head to bed with my hubby. I will get to posting my wedding pictures. I am so excited to share them with you!
